Hey,
I have been continuing to have a good time! I had an amazing time last night! during the day my new buddy Eeva (Finnish), her friend Yu and I went to Odaiba. Its a little south of the main part of Tokyo. there were very pretty views of the city and bay. We had lunch and I experienced my first earthquake!!! It was teeny tiny, but significant to me! Felt like the room was rocking slightly like a subway car does. fun :~)
We went to a theme park that has a side for women and a side for men. The women’s side is just shopping and coffe and fountains (go figure?) and the man side is a toyota promotion centre. the mens side was so much more fun… there was a go cart track and they were hybrid (had and engine but needed you to push peddles to power it) there were cars from the future, coincidently produced by toyota, and a driving simulator and much much more.
We met some friends at Shibuya station andwent across the busiest intersection in the world! when you conjure up an image of Tokyo, you’re probably picturing this area, at least I do… scrambles of people and gigantic tv screens and such craziness. then we later went toone the biggest nightclubs in Japan. It holds something like 5000 people, craziness! T’was copious amounts of fun. today I saw the cute Harajuku girls dressed up like the anime characters and received free hugs from who had a sign offering it. I really like hugs :~). I spent some time in a buddist temple engaging in some relaxing meditation. Again, everyone is so helpful, if one person cant answer a question they ask another person. Oh I also went to Akihabara where all the elctronics stuff is sold and a fair bit of the ‘naughty’ things are… There are like 10 story porn shops and I officially came across a vending machine selling the used underpants of young girls. yes, used. it truly is a strange world we live in… the good with the bad.

So relieved to hear that you are well and having fun. Come home right now! Just kidding. It sounds like a benevolent place. So glad you have met some kindred travelers. It is an amazing adventure that you will treasure all your life. Write when you can.
Just came back from Florida and finally got your blog site. I had a very relaxing time and am ready to go back to work tomorrow.
Thinking of you all the time and love to hear from you that you are managing so well. What’s the weather like?

I really loved reading this… my favourite part (of course) was the story about panties ;=) I knew that the Japanese were into odd sexual activities but this is way way beyond odd… but very funny…. makes me almost feel sorry for these men…. nnnnaaaahhhh… who am I kidding ???
